Monuments of the Third Reich

History does not know the subliminal slant, but perhaps if Adolf Hitler went to the Vienna Art Academy, the history of Europe and the world would have gone quite differently. Many experts note that he had artistic talent, and he could become an outstanding architect. During the short period of National Socialism, Germany underwent fundamental changes, including in construction. In our review, we present the most majestic buildings of the Third Reich, those that have been implemented, as well as some large-scale projects not realized.

The order system is the basis of classical architecture

The architecture of Hellas can be called Man-centered, and even ‘humanoid’ (in a certain sense). The saying ‘Man is the measure of all things’ - concluded for the Greeks the idea that all objects and phenomena of the surrounding world should not only be evaluated from the point of view of ‘convenience’ for man, but also created with the help of calculations based on the proportions of the human body. The Greeks considered the art of designing and erecting buildings in the same way.

Who and why built the pyramids

The construction process and purpose of the pyramids remain some of the most intriguing mysteries of archaeology and history. Despite numerous theories, myths and speculations, the truth about pyramidal structures remains unsolved in full.

This has never been seen before. Previously, the structure was white in color and glowed in the sunlight.

The Pyramid of Cheops, or the Great Pyramid of Giza, as it is also known, is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the World that has survived to this day. Its age is estimated at 4,500 years. For more than three millennia the pyramid held the status of the highest building on Earth (about 139 meters), until Lincoln Cathedral was erected in the city of Lincoln in the east of England (about 1311).

There are many theories as to the purpose of the pyramid, but it is still most widely believed that it was built as a tomb for Pharaoh Cheops of the 4th Dynasty. It is made up of approximately 2 million lime blocks weighing over 2 tones each. So the question of exactly how it was built still puzzles people to this day.
