Lord Combermere

Lord Combermere, who was once the governor of Barbados and had a keen interest in the Chase Vault mystery, seems to have been captured in a photograph while relaxing in a chair after his death. The photograph was taken by Sybell Corbet in the library of Combermere Abbey in 1891.

Boy in striped pyjamas

The movie Boy in Striped Pyjamas, directed by Mark Herman, takes place during the Second World War. It is based on a novel of the same name by Irish writer John Boyne. The film features Vera Farmiga, David Thewlis, Asa Butterfield, and Jack Scanlon. This Holocaust drama depicts life in a concentration camp through the eyes of two 8-year-old children, which adds an intriguing element. One of the children is the son of a German commandant, while the other is the son of an inmate. Despite the hatred prevalent during that time, the two form an unlikely friendship that defies all logic.

Bullfighting

Bullfighting is a cruel activity. In a Spanish bullfight, men called matadors engage in a fight with a terrified and confused bull within a confined ring. Throughout the fight, the bull is subjected to torture and weakened by various weapons such as spears, spikes, and daggers. These weapons inflict immense pain, causing the bull to suffer from blood loss.

The Serpent

Charles Sobhraj, a killer of mixed Vietnamese and Indian descent, was convicted for committing heinous murders across several countries including India, Nepal, Thailand, Turkey, and Iran. He had a delusional belief that he was a superior being, likening himself to a superman, and considered his actions as a means of purifying the world. Travelers who ventured along what he referred to as the 'Hippie Trail' in Asia witnessed Sobhraj using pills and powders to make his victims ill before ultimately stabbing or burning their bodies. In a similar incident, he attempted to poison 60 French tourists staying at an Indian hotel, but they were fortunate enough to only suffer from diarrhea, leading to his arrest. Sobhraj, also known as 'The Serpent', made several successful attempts to escape from prison, but he is currently securely held behind bars in Nepal. However, it is likely that he will soon make another attempt to flee.
